After having played for 12 minutes, Vladimiro Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saladillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Remir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Jacob could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Santos Birila made a huge save. After some careless play in the Nariz de Pelota FC defense, Vladimiro Remir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justino Mark. The Nariz de Pelota FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justino Mark should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Jacob got free with Santos Birila in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justino Mark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Bernal's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Damaso Iratze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nariz de Pelota FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saladillo the free kick. Damaso Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Justino Mark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Remir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Polentzi in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Nariz de Pelota FC booed when Saladillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Maura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Mark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Santos Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Polentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, Saladillo's Benito Gonsalvo got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimiro Remir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Polentzi in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Birila saved Saladillo from getting behind. If Cipriano Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Birila was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Vladimiro Remir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute.
