Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Mon in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Chaime prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jimeno Ferdinand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Misael, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Maciel's Arnaldo Chaime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Mon in the 18th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Maciel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quelly:s goal. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Quelly. Marcelino Leguizamón stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnaldo Chaime. 0-1. In the 34th minute, Clodoveo Mon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaldo Chaime showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Nabar in the 36th minute of the match. Filomeno Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Maciel's Domingo Gaueko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Ferdinand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Quelly's Jimeno Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Misael in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Clodoveo Mon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Chaime saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severiano Colas during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
