Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Rioja in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Chaime prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Andres Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maciel's protests and gave Andres Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Andres Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Misael in the 27th minute of play forced Guachos de Jantin CF's goalkeeper Severo Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guachos de Jantin CF's Eulalio Mingo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Colas in the 39th minute of play forced Guachos de Jantin CF's goalkeeper Severo Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Chaime made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Rioja in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Angelino Otoniel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Guachos de Jantin CF's Severo Dimas. Severo Dimas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, Hector Rioja dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnaldo Chaime, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Marcial Misael made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Rioja in the 57th minute of play forced Maciel's goalkeeper Arnaldo Chaime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Colas got free with Severo Dimas in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Guachos de Jantin CF defense, Angelino Otoniel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Dimas. The Guachos de Jantin CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Dimas should have stopped the shot. Maciel's Arnaldo Chaime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Mingo in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Otoniel got free with Severo Dimas in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Severo Dimas managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Maciel's Angelino Otoniel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Angelino Otoniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
