Geronimo Matthew's late challenge caught a Quelly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Matthew helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Saladillo AFC's Geronimo Matthew got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jimeno Ferdinand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Matthew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Ferdinand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Arnalt in the 19th minute of play. Iker Domenec took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Ferdinand. Jimeno Ferdinand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 27th minute, Osvaldo Montrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Quelly booed when Saladillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Mon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Haimar was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Filomeno Nabar struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Baldomero Haimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quelly. The Saladillo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 65th minute, Clodoveo Mon made a precise shot to the right of Baldomero Haimar. Saladillo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 69th match minute, Quelly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Leguizamón to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Nabar in the 72nd minute of play forced Saladillo AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Quelly fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Quelly's Filomeno Nabar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
