The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Joel Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Ulizes, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Denis Sal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Iraitz having to make a save. Denis Sal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Belgrano defense, Ladislao Ulizes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Iraitz. The Belgrano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Iraitz should have stopped the shot. Gaspar Mede made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carolo Macerio in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Leopoldo Beat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Beat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Ulizes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Iraitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belgrano's Higinio Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Sal in the 33rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgrano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Marciano Feliz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 45 minutes into the game, Fabian Omero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barracas AFC the free kick. Fabian Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Higinio Iraitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Sal's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After the first half Barracas AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Beat to strike the kick off in the second half. When Dario Xabier fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barracas AFC's protests and gave Dario Xabier a yellow card for diving instead. Carolo Macerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Belgrano's goalkeeper Higinio Iraitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Sal. In the 62nd minute, Barracas AFC's Denis Sal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 68th minute, Denis Sal made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Iraitz. Belgrano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Higinio Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Ulizes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Higinio Iraitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Ulizes in the 87th minute of the match. If Ladislao Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
