The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Beat was the one to do the kick off. When Virgilio Berto came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Club Recreativo San Jorge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Berto couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the game, Club Recreativo San Jorge's Filomeno Ourente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. If Filomeno Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Berto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Iraitz having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Filomeno Ourente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Iraitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Ourente in the 78th minute of play forced Belgrano's goalkeeper Higinio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
