In the 21st minute Virgilio Berto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Berto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ezequiel Oskarbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquile AFC's zone, Virgilio Berto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Oskarbi came out of the goal and Virgilio Berto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Mede to make the kick off. If Fulgencio Leobardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Ezequiel Oskarbi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Ourente in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Oskarbi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Filomeno Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
