Anastasio Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evelio Txurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Baldomero Cebrian made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Badajoz's Evelio Txurio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomero Cebrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Anastasio Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Hersilia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 57 played minutes Hersilia got a freekick which was hit by Donato Harriet. Baldomero Cebrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Clis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Txurio in the 66th minute of play forced Hersilia's goalkeeper Baldomero Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Donato Harriet came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Hersilia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Harriet couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Deportivo Badajoz fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! After 85 minutes, Robustiano Precioso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hersilia and the Club Deportivo Badajoz players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Donato Harriet came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Hersilia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Harriet couldn't finish the play.
