Ibáñez's Leandro Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Corderro in the 12th minute of play. Edgardo Chap struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Leandro Menendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miraflores. After having played for 30 minutes, Ezequiel Etxepare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibáñez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Etxepare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Braulio Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Seme. Miraflores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The Ibáñez fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Ibáñez's Braulio Chuan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ezequiel Etxepare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Miraflores defense, Braulio Chuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Seme. The Miraflores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Seme should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Chap made a kick off. Ezequiel Etxepare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. In the 80th minute, Ezequiel Etxepare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibáñez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 85 minutes of play, Ibáñez's Ezequiel Etxepare made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerardo Seme was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Braulio Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee ended the match the Ibáñez players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
