The referee ignored CSDM Chañarense's protests and gave Leonel Quinteros a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NapoleonFC booed when CSDM Chañarense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafino Cordarius hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

CSDM Chañarense were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
