With a little luck, Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s Evaristo Gergori got control of the ball when Jonas Txomin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gaudencio Dabi fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s protests and gave Gaudencio Dabi a yellow card for diving instead. Gaudencio Dabi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Evaristo Gergori was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nestor Lamberto. Pastor Galsino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bonifacio Lico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Pastor Galsino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Galsino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pastor Galsino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Pelota De Trapo F.C. booed when C.A.SAN TELMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Gaitan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Honorato Uhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s goalkeeper Evaristo Gergori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Txomin. Honorato Uhin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Gergori made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jonas Txomin sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Uhin to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s Fernan Frichoso got a free kick in the 51st minute. Evaristo Gergori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Txomin in the 53rd minute of the match. If Jonas Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Txomin in the 59th minute of play forced Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s goalkeeper Evaristo Gergori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s zone, Jonas Txomin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Gergori came out of the goal and Jonas Txomin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jonas Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.SAN TELMO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Txomin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Gergori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Jonas Txomin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
