Higinio Lluis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Etxahun charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Etxahun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerardo Etxahun hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Colón de Santa Fe's Fabricio Mateus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Higinio Lluis. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. Higinio Lluis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eulalio Laurentzi in the 15th minute. Isidro Uzuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Celso Garin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Eulalio Laurentzi took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Higinio Lluis to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Higinio Lluis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gerardo Etxahun hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Higinio Lluis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Colón de Santa Fe booed when Normandy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Uzuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Silvio Belmiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Higinio Lluis skillfully saved the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Normandy FC's goalkeeper Higinio Lluis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Mateus. 33 minutes into the game, Eulalio Laurentzi lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Higinio Lluis. After 36 minutes of play, Normandy FC's Osvaldo Marin made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Garin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celso Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Mantzio in the 42nd minute of the match. Dario Perrando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Higinio Lluis made a huge save. The Normandy FC fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Normandy FC's Saverio Mantzio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Maiorga made a kick off. When Gerardo Etxahun came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Normandy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Etxahun couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Colón de Santa Fe getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fabricio Mateus hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Marin in the 59th minute of play forced Colón de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Celso Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Normandy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Perrando came free, but Higinio Lluis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Normandy FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Moises Lobo hit a great ball. Celso Garin came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Normandy FC's Saverio Mantzio. But to his dismay, Saverio Mantzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Laurentzi in the 74th minute of play forced Normandy FC's goalkeeper Higinio Lluis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Dario Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Lluis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Lluis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Normandy FC's Osvaldo Marin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th play minute Saverio Mantzio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Celso Garin. 3-6. Celso Garin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saverio Mantzio in the 93rd minute. A hard shot 94 in the game by Saverio Mantzio from a close distance when the talented Celso Garin managed to make a qualified save. Colón de Santa Fe's players were relieved. Osvaldo Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Normandy FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
