Alberto Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Vergaray in the 8th minute of the match. Gerardo Etxahun hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Evelio Chorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Lluis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 0-2 became the score in the 15th minute when Saverio Mantzio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Saverio Mantzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Ofelio was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Etxahun in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Ofelio saved LoneWolf FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Saverio Mantzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Ofelio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Higinio Lluis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Ixidor in the 21st minute. Higinio Lluis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Azubeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Vergaray in the 35th minute of play forced LoneWolf FC's goalkeeper Alberto Ofelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Osvaldo Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saverio Mantzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Ofelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saverio Mantzio ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Saverio Mantzio sped through LoneWolf FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Ofelio. After 45 played minutes Normandy FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Etxahun. The LoneWolf FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Normandy FC were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saverio Mantzio to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Basilio Vergaray tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alberto Ofelio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alberto Ofelio made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Saverio Mantzio sent off a good shot on target. Higinio Lluis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Azubeli in the 57th minute of play. Normandy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Mantzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Ofelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
