The supporters of Colón de Santa Fe booed when Estudiantes F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Colas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Eulalio Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Laurentzi in the 44th minute of play forced Estudiantes F.C's goalkeeper Lázaro Ospetsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute, Aquilino Oskitz made a precise shot to the right of Celso Garin. Colón de Santa Fe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Bonifacio Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Garin having to interfere. Bonifacio Cutberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th match minute, Colón de Santa Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Perrando to maneuver through the defense. Aquilino Oskitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Garin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. If Aquilino Oskitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Aquilino Oskitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Oskitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Fabricio Mateus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colón de Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes F.C the free kick. A collision led to Colón de Santa Fe getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Fabricio Mateus hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Oskitz in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Garin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bonifacio Cutberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Garin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Eulalio Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
