Matador de Victoria's Geronimo Isadore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Matador de Victoria from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Mario Austin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pablo Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Rosendo Birjaio put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amador Anaya. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Rosendo Birjaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matador de Victoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Birjaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Anaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeledon Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Isadore having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Mattin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Elizardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Isadore. Matador de Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Elizardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee ignored Matador de Victoria's protests and gave Pablo Mattin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Matador de Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Mattin to maneuver through the defense.
