In the 18th match minute, The Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Santxol to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Marco Urbez fired a really elegant long shot, but Aldo Oriche threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Padro in the 24th minute of play forced Godoy AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Quintan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Quintan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Diegotxe in the 26th minute of the match. Fausto Quintan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Diegotxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Horacio Lorencio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Tobias Orlanda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Oriche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Salvador Padro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Legends's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Padro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Diegotxe might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Quintan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Diegotxe ran back to his position shaking his head. Salvador Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Quintan having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Virgilio Diegotxe made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Quintan. Godoy AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Rafel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Virgilio Diegotxe managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Legends's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Diegotxe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Quintan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Diegotxe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fausto Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Virgilio Diegotxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador Padro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fausto Quintan firmly grabbed it by the left post. 70 minutes in the game, Virgilio Diegotxe fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fausto Quintan having to interfere. A collision led to The Legends getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Victorio Silviano hit a great ball. Salvador Padros short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Fausto Quintan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Diegotxe in the 78th minute of play forced Godoy AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Quintan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Silviano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Salvador Padro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgilio Diegotxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Quintan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Diegotxe in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Quintan saved Godoy AFC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Padro got free with Fausto Quintan in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgilio Diegotxe in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Quintan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Virgilio Diegotxe got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Fausto Quintan was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Salvador Padro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fausto Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Virgilio Diegotxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Quintan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over The Legends could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Godoy AFC throughout the match.
