Tobias Orlanda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Natalio Rafel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Alagón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Lando to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Orlanda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Benjamin Chuan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fausto Quintan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Godoy AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alagón the free kick. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natalio Rafel to make the kick off. If Natalio Rafel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godoy AFC's Natalio Rafel got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Alagón's protests and gave Nicolas Mannuel a yellow card for diving instead. Alagón's Benjamin Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Rafel in the 84th minute of play. When Emiliano Cordarell fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godoy AFC's protests and gave Emiliano Cordarell a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Cordarell hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tobias Orlanda hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Godoy AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Quintan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natalio Rafel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Chuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alagón walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
