Alonzo Baudelio helped the player get up and apologised. Abelardo Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipolito Macario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Etxatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Lorenzo Otsoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Txomin in the 10th minute of play. If Julian Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ardiles! Eulalio Goizs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Lorenzo Otsoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25th minute, Aristides Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venancio Micael during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Asamblea Dortmund booed when Ardiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Vigil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lorenzo Otsoa. Ardiles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fermin Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hipolito Macario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Asamblea Dortmund's goalkeeper Hipolito Macario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ardiles booed when Asamblea Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rigoberto Jatsu fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardiles's protests and gave Rigoberto Jatsu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ardiles's Rigoberto Jatsu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Abelardo Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eulalio Goiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asamblea Dortmund's Julian Txomin got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Abelardo Hustaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Etxatxu in the 44th minute of play. Julian Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Lorenzo Otsoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Txomin made a kick off. Fermin Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Macario having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Ardiles got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Micael. After having played for 61 minutes, Eulalio Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asamblea Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eulalio Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Esteve Urtsua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eulalio Goiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Otsoa having to interfere. Asamblea Dortmund's Hipolito Macario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Asamblea Dortmund from getting a goal against them. After 68 minutes, Edgardo Austin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asamblea Dortmund and the Ardiles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Asamblea Dortmund's Edgardo Austin got a free kick in the 68th minute. Abelardo Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Eulalio Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Otsoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Macario having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Asamblea Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Etxatxu came free, but Hipolito Macario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Txomin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenzo Otsoa was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Abelardo Hustaz took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hipolito Macario. Hipolito Macario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Abelardo Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Txomin in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Otsoa saved Ardiles from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Ardiles's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Goiz came free, but Lorenzo Otsoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ardiles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ardiles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
