Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braulio Shantala kicked off to start the match. When Candido Meder fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Candido Meder a yellow card for diving instead. Candido Meder kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes, TUvieja's Victoriano Eleder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nestor Libertad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TUvieja reached it. When TUvieja's Aquilino Stephen in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talleres's goalie prevented a goal. If Aquilino Stephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Talleres defense, Aquilino Stephen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Libertad. The Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Libertad should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Nicanor Benino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Teofilo Jenaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, TUvieja's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Shantala came free, but Teofilo Jenaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes TUvieja got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Henrico. Braulio Shantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Teofilo Jenaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicanor Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes of play TUvieja's Ovidio Henrico was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to TUvieja getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ovidio Henrico hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquilino Stephen made a kick off. Teofilo Jenaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Shantala in the 60th minute of play. If Braulio Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talleres's Braulio Shantala got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. TUvieja's Teofilo Jenaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Benino in the 89th minute of play. Braulio Shantala might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Jenaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braulio Shantala ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, TUvieja's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Shantala came free, but Teofilo Jenaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Nicanor Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Benino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Jenaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind TUvieja's goalkeeper Teofilo Jenaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Talleres's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
