Nestor Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Francesco in the 4th minute of play. Nicanor Benino in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Astor Oriche, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Benino got free with Astor Oriche in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicanor Benino struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Astor Oriche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. The supporters of Viamonte booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Meder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Libertad came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Viamonte's Benicio Francesco. But to his dismay, Benicio Francesco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Braulio Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Oriche having to interfere. In the 41st minute Benicio Francesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Libertad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Benino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Oriche having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Benicio Francesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Libertad having to interfere. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viamonte's goalkeeper Astor Oriche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Rami. Ernesto Ongiles short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Nestor Libertad to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Talleres booed when Viamonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Braulio Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Shantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Astor Oriche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicanor Benino's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Braulio Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Oriche having to interfere. Candido Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Astor Oriche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Libertad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Francesco in the 87th minute of the match. Braulio Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Oriche having to interfere. Astor Oriche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Talleres walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
