The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Oscar Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Eneas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Segundo Txilar fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgrano's protests and gave Segundo Txilar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for TUvieja. Victoriano Eleder stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tadeo Eneas. 1-0. Luis Handi struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Teofilo Jenaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano. After 13 minutes, Ovidio Henrico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TUvieja and the Belgrano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Ovidio Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquilino Stephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes of play, TUvieja's Aquilino Stephen made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tadeo Eneas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tadeo Eneas made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Aquilino Stephen sent off a good shot on target. Luis Handi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Teofilo Jenaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Aquilino Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TUvieja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Stephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Oscar Napier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tadeo Eneas, 3-0. In the 45th minute Oscar Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Eneas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Oscar Napier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Eneas came out of the goal and Oscar Napier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

TUvieja's Teofilo Jenaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save TUvieja from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Napier in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeo Eneas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Luis Handi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Handi couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the game, Aquilino Stephen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tadeo Eneas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tadeo Eneas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Handi got free with Teofilo Jenaro in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Oscar Napier managed to get in a good position for a shot. TUvieja's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Napier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Eneas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano's goalkeeper Tadeo Eneas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aquilino Stephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Oscar Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano's goalkeeper Tadeo Eneas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tadeo Eneas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. TUvieja walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
