Florencio Ibañez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florencio Ibañez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Joaquin Remir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Remir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarl Sefastsson went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Florencio Ibañez took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joaquin Remir to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 30 minutes, Jarl Sefastsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarl Sefastsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Banfield Oeste booed when Matador de Paso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Gar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Banfield Oeste defense, Haroldo Faro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Henriksson. The Banfield Oeste fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Henriksson should have stopped the shot. Florencio Ibañez hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florencio Ibañez was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Remir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield Oeste. Paolo Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Florencio Ibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Ibañez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Banfield Oeste booed when Matador de Paso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Jacindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Teodoro Joanes in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Banfield Oeste's Clodoveo Emesto. In the 81stth minute of the game Clodoveo Emesto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matador de Paso's Joaquin Remir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarl Sefastsson took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Remir. Joaquin Remir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 89 minutes into the game, Banfield Oeste's Abelardo Ur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Remir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Florencio Ibañez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Joaquin Remir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Remir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Ibañez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Banfield Oeste players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
