Banfield Oeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Ibañez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrosio Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Alsa AFC's Jairo Leoiar got a free kick in the 18th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ambrosio Maule prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarl Sefastsson in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ambrosio Maule saved Alsa AFC from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Florencio Ibañez made a precise shot to the right of Ambrosio Maule. Alsa AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Jarl Sefastsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ambrosio Maule having to make a save. Florencio Ibañez took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ambrosio Maule. Ambrosio Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Banfield Oeste's Cayetano Abeita got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Ibañez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Banfield Oeste's Clodoveo Emesto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jairo Leoiar, made in the 52nd minute of the game. The supporters of Banfield Oeste booed when Alsa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Herensuge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Americo Luke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Luke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Florencio Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Jairo Leoiar in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Banfield Oeste's Clodoveo Emesto. When Clodoveo Emesto came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Banfield Oeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Emesto couldn't finish the play. Ambrosio Maule was a little too slow when Jarl Sefastsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-5.
