CUBA LIBRE's Cesar Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Torres in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionisio Napier during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesar Ler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Urre in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Domingo Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Pocha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iker Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Kemen in the 16th minute of play. Felipe Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Balasi having to interfere. Iker Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Kemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Domingo Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to La Pocha getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Domingo Torres hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Calvet got free with Iker Balasi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felipe Calvets short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Iker Balasi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The long shot by Rosendo Bartuelo in the 28th minute really tested Iker Balasi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in CUBA LIBRE's zone, Igor Urre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Ler came out of the goal and Igor Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Urre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Ler having to interfere. Feliciano Azubeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Ler having to interfere. CUBA LIBRE's Cesar Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Urre in the 39th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Urre was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Igor Urre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, La Pocha's Igor Urre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Igor Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Ler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Torres in the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Igor Urre managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Pocha's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Urre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Ler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 minutes of play, La Pocha's Feliberto Sindo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesar Ler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Federico Leobardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cesar Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Pocha played a much better game than CUBA LIBRE and deserved their victory. The CUBA LIBRE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
