When Danilo Peru fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sanford AFC's protests and gave Danilo Peru a yellow card for diving instead. 57 minutes into the game, one of Sanford AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Victoriano Kemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sanford AFC. 93 minutes into the match, Sanford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Urtsua came free, but Hermengildo Crescencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Urtsua took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermengildo Crescencio. Hermengildo Crescencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Emilio Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Crescencio having to interfere. Parque Avellaneda's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
