The Sanford AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermengildo Crescencio should have stopped the shot. With his leg Evelio Jon managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Sanford AFC's Adan Perpinya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hermengildo Crescencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Chabier went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sanford AFC's Clodoveo Luzaide got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes, Matreros Fútbol Club's Adan Silban shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hermengildo Crescencio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Matreros Fútbol Club reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Victoriano Kemen made the kick off in the second half. Aaron Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. A collision led to Sanford AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Roberto Walme hit a great ball. Matreros Fútbol Club's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 78th minute of the game, when Silvio Lehior after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Sanford AFC's goal. Silvio Lehior was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Pablo Ado hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Matreros Fútbol Club got a corner. Sanford AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amado Jaume ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Sanford AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Matreros Fútbol Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
