The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Manju getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Gogo Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Llorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Igor Garaile came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Miramar AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Garaile couldn't finish the play. Ladislao Llorian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Pelayo having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Ladislao Llorian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manju's Gogo Pelayo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Miramar AFC's Ladislao Llorian made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Pelayo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 26 minutes, Igor Garaile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miramar AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Garaile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleto Clodio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manju. 36 minutes into the game, Oscar Intxixu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miramar AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manju the free kick. After 37 played minutes Miramar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Intxixu. Manju's Gogo Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Llorian in the 40th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Garaile was the one to do the kick off. Elvio Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elvio Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Igor Garaile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Garaile in the 66th minute of the match. Igor Garaile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Garaile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gogo Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Garaile, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Donato Bakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Gogo Pelayo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
