Ismael Birila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Ishmael in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Florencio Dominic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evelio Figueroa. Guanaco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Dominic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Flavio Kelemen might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evelio Figueroa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Kelemen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Florencio Dominic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amado Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half CAIndependiente were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Evelio Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Guanaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Satordi. In the 56th minute of the match CAIndependiente got a corner. Guanaco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esteve Aztore ran over to the corner to take the kick. CAIndependiente's Esteve Aztore was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Evelio Figueroa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guanaco FC's Mateo Maxin got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amado Ishmael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Birila having to make a save. Esteve Cresencio's late challenge caught a Guanaco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Cresencio helped the player get up and apologised. If Amado Ishmael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Ermegildo Loramendi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAIndependiente and the Guanaco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guanaco FC booed when CAIndependiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enzo Iratze made a great header on Guanaco FC's corner, it was just that CAIndependiente's Ismael Birila managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Guanaco FC defense, Flavio Kelemen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evelio Figueroa. The Guanaco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evelio Figueroa should have stopped the shot. CAIndependiente's attack was well implemented in the 91st minute, but when Florencio Dominic was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. CAIndependiente's Flavio Kelemen got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CAIndependiente's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
