La Gagoneta's Bonifacio Franco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save La Gagoneta from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sodoma FC's Danilo Endura got a free kick in the 18th minute. Augusto Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodrigo Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, La Gagoneta's Bonifacio Franco got control of the ball when Danilo Endura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haroldo Frichoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Frichoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimiro Bittor having to make a save. After the first half La Gagoneta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Peres to make the kick off. A collision led to Sodoma FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ernesto Quintana hit a great ball. Augusto Erasto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Franco having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Danilo Endura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sodoma FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Endura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimiro Bittor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Peres in the 67th minute. Danilo Endura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bonifacio Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to La Gagoneta getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. David Dantae hit a great ball. La Gagoneta's Bonifacio Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Erasto in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Ernesto Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Gagoneta's Júlio Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Augusto Erasto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bonifacio Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
