With his leg Arnulfo Illan managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when La Gagoneta's Júlio Peres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bonifacio Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arnulfo Illan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Peres in the 52nd minute of play. Bonifacio Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Pero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Alejandro Montel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fassi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Gagoneta the free kick. Alejandro Montel kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Fassi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Peres came free, but Arnulfo Illan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Júlio Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Illan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Illan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Although La Gagoneta had been in control for most of the match, Fassi AFC still came away with the win.
