The audience was convinced that Rene Orlondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Lando was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. Los gorgonitos's Edelmiro Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Orlondo in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Silvano Dalmau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvano Dalmau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edelmiro Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Carrizal FC's Rene Orlondo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edelmiro Lando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurelio Luken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Dalmau struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Edelmiro Lando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrizal FC. The supporters of Carrizal FC booed when Los gorgonitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Ostots didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los gorgonitos's Edelmiro Lando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Los gorgonitos from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Rius hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Lando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Orlondo in the 38th minute of the match. Edelmiro Lando made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Silvano Dalmau sent off a good shot on target. Los gorgonitos's Edelmiro Lando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Los gorgonitos from getting a goal against them. Armando Nazario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Donzel's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Donato Marquez hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 46th play minutes Silvano Dalmau shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Edelmiro Lando and just under the crossbar into goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Orlondo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Silvano Dalmau came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Carrizal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Dalmau couldn't finish the play. Edelmiro Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Los gorgonitos's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Dalmau came free, but Edelmiro Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Los gorgonitos got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Inocente. Edelmiro Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Dalmau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Carrizal FC were the better team. Carrizal FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
