The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Wilfredo Bastian successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Orlondo got free with Wilfredo Bastian in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Altillo booed when Onzos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Virgilio Vergaray made a precise shot to the right of Wilfredo Bastian. Onzos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Sergio Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Orlondo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilfredo Bastian came out and tried to block the shot, but Lisandro Orlondo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Anibal Dimo put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Semeno. After 31 played minutes Altillo got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Vergaray. When Onzos's Anibal Dimo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Altillo's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Virgilio Vergaray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Vergaray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Narciso Calixto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Semeno. Altillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Calixto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. A collision led to Onzos getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Segundo Tercero hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Dimo made a kick off. Narciso Calixto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rafael Semeno made a huge save. Rafael Semeno made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Narciso Calixto sent off a good shot on target. Anibal Dimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Calixtos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Rafael Semeno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Virgilio Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Bastian having to interfere. A collision led to Onzos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Segundo Tercero hit a great ball. Anibal Dimo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rafael Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Orlondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Virgilio Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
