Wilfredo Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Manni, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Celso Lordi fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bernasconi FC's protests and gave Celso Lordi a yellow card for diving instead. Celso Lordi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Celso Lordi was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st minute, Guillermo Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebio Gaufred stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Dimo's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Calixto got free with Eusebio Gaufred in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ambrosio Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernasconi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Kinsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Bastian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute Ambrosio Kinsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match, Narciso Calixto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eusebio Gaufred was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Dimo made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Anibal Dimo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bernasconi FC's Eusebio Gaufred was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ambrosio Kinsen struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Wilfredo Bastian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bernasconi FC. Eusebio Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Calixto, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Clodoveo Juvenal put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Bernasconi FC booed when Onzos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Uhin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Gaufred didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Calixto went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ernesto Grabiel's late challenge caught a Onzos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Grabiel helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bernasconi FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 99th minute. Penalty! In the 100th minute there was a penalty for Onzos. Placido Ceandro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusebio Gaufred. 4-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Onzos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bernasconi FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
