The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nuevaferri's zone, Cosme Tebaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Hegoi came out of the goal and Cosme Tebaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jimeno Sabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Tibalt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Sabin in the 32nd minute of play forced Sakachispas's goalkeeper Feliberto Tibalt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Salvidor struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marcos Hegoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sakachispas. In the 36th minute Cosme Tebaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuevaferri's Marcos Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Salvidor in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Jimeno Sabin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakachispas were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Nuevaferri's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amado Rius took the corner. After taking down the ball on Sakachispas's corner Amado Rius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Hegoi quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Nuevaferri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Honrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alfonso Honrio came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Nuevaferri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Honrio couldn't finish the play.
