Hacha y Tiza Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Venerando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roman Lastur kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Luciano Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Hermengildo Mede made the kick off in the second half. Hacha y Tiza Fútbol Club's Anacleto Venerando got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Enekoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anacleto Venerando's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Mendez in the 61st minute of play forced Hacha y Tiza Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Luciano Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Anacleto Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Enekoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Venerando in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Enekoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the match, Hacha y Tiza Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Mendez came free, but Luciano Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alvaro Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Boquerón fans jumped to their feet.
