The referee ignored Club Altetico Arcangel's protests and gave Horacio Leizarraga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Club Altetico Arcangel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulises Bieito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Barbosa in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Joaquin Nisio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Racing Club's Leon Benvide. Leon Benvide was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Orlondo couldn't finish the play. Siro Orlondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Benvide read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Milian in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Altetico Arcangel's goalkeeper Ulises Bieito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Joaquin Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Altetico Arcangel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Nisio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
