Estadio Despedida
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonas Umea got the match started through his kick off. Despedida's Lisandro Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Barbosa in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Despedida defense, Agustin Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Ler. The Despedida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lisandro Ler should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Fernando Acosta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Benvide was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Despedida's Jonas Umea got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Despedida defense, Agustin Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Ler. The Despedida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lisandro Ler should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute Fidel Hermelando suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 23 minutes into the game, Benedicto Alfonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Despedida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Despedida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Alfonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Tiburcio Cordarrel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Despedida's Lisandro Ler didn't even have to move. When Fernando Acosta fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Despedida's protests and gave Fernando Acosta a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Despedida got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Acosta. 28 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Tiburcio Cordarrel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31st minute, Generoso Jacindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Umea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Leon Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Claus hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The Despedida players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Club were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Barbosa to make the kick off. With his leg Lisandro Ler managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Racing Club's Agustin Barbosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 56 minutes of play Despedida's Fernando Acosta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 57 played minutes Despedida got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Acosta. Agustin Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Ler having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Agustin Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Despedida's goalkeeper Lisandro Ler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jonas Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Umea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despedida's Lisandro Ler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Despedida from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Milian got free with Lisandro Ler in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 92 minutes, Agustin Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Despedida's Lisandro Ler got control of the ball when Agustin Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
