Soldiers of Jah Army's Celedonio Olando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Soldiers of Jah Army from getting a goal against them. Horacio Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celedonio Olando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Nisio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Feliberto Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siro Orlondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Nisio couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Soldiers of Jah Army defense, Joaquin Nisio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Olando. The Soldiers of Jah Army fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Olando should have stopped the shot.
