Ulises Caitano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Melchor Arnas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arsenio Astigar having to make a save. Ceferino Garin charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Garin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ceferino Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute of the match Vladimiro Bermudo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulises Caitano skillfully saved the ball. In the 43rd minute, Valhalla FC's Ceferino Garin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ceferino Garin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Valhalla FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ceferino Garin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Bruce FC booed when Valhalla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Valhalla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Bermudo came free, but Ulises Caitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Arnas to make the kick off. After having played for 96 minutes, Roberto Arlt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valhalla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Arlt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Valhalla FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bruce FC to win.
