Wilfredo Quintun ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Sportivo Desamparados's Godfredo Fix got control of the ball when Uriel Chepe tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Bras in the 45th minute of play forced The Strokes FC's goalkeeper Gavino Gaspard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After a rather tough play, The Strokes FC's Enrique Perutxo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Wilfredo Quintun struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Godfredo Fix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Strokes FC. In the 66th match minute, Sportivo Desamparados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Suarez to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Uriel Chepe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Fix was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sportivo Desamparados walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
