Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantino Gartzea in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carmelo Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Acevedo having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Constantino Gartzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Acevedo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Deportivo Chaco defense, Constantino Gartzea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Acevedo. The Deportivo Chaco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Acevedo should have stopped the shot. Leonel Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Gartzea in the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Heriberto during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Deportivo Chaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Heriberto to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Anibal Hartz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Acevedo skillfully saved the ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Constantino Gartzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Chaco's Leonel Acevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Chaco's zone, Carmelo Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Acevedo came out of the goal and Carmelo Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Chaco's Leonel Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Gartzea in the 22nd minute of play. When Carmelo Valente came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the CADU de Zarate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Valente couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Constantino Gartzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Acevedo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Gartzea in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Acevedo saved Deportivo Chaco from getting behind. After 34 played minutes Deportivo Chaco got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Chano. Constantino Gartzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Leonel Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes, CADU de Zarate's Anibal Hartz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonel Acevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CADU de Zarate reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Gartzea in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Acevedo saved Deportivo Chaco from getting behind. After the first half CADU de Zarate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Carmelo Valente who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Leonel Acevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Carmelo Valente took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Leonel Acevedo to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Leonel Acevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when CADU de Zarate's Constantino Gartzea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carmelo Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Carmelo Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. CADU de Zarate's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Valente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidio Prejun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Constantino Gartzea took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Leonel Acevedo to make any attempt to save it. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Chaco's goalkeeper Leonel Acevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantino Gartzea. Leonel Acevedo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Rene Gaufred sent off a good shot on target. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 80th minute, but Leonel Acevedo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Deportivo Chaco hanging dry this time. Constantino Gartzea got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-5 in the right cross in the 83rd match minute before Leonel Acevedo had time to react. CADU de Zarate's Nereo Hondo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonel Acevedo but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantino Gartzea got free with Leonel Acevedo in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Martxelin during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
