The supporters of Marketinero FC booed when Palmar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fabio Ekhi came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Marketinero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Ekhi couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Palmar's goalkeeper Diego Bittor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafin Cisco. After 12 minutes, Amado Lizardi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmar and the Marketinero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Ekhi made a kick off. Diego Bittor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Ekhi in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Serafin Cisco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marketinero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Cisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serafin Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marketinero FC's Fabio Ekhi in 70 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Diego Bittor guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Omar Irrintzi made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Esteve Otsando sent off a good shot on target. Omar Irrintzi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Esteve Otsando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. Fabio Ekhi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Bittor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marketinero FC's goalkeeper Omar Irrintzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Esteve Otsando got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Tadeo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
