Esteve Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Petrigai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteve Otsando ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12thth minute of the game Tadeo Sanson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Frutales's Gavino Petrigai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Frutales's Tiburcio Jakes got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Tadeo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Palmar's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Edorta came free, but Diego Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Bittor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes, Amado Lizardi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmar and the Los Frutales players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palmar's Amado Lizardi got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eleuterio Edorta might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Bittor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eleuterio Edorta ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Bittor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Edorta in the 26th minute of the match. Esteve Otsando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Petrigai having to make a save. Tadeo Sanson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Petrigai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmar's goalkeeper Diego Bittor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Carolo Gimenez came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Los Frutales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carolo Gimenez couldn't finish the play. Eleuterio Edorta struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Diego Bittor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Frutales. Carolo Gimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Diego Bittor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeo Sanson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Esteve Otsando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Petrigai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolo Gimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Diego Bittor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Carolo Gimenez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palmar's Diego Bittor. Diego Bittor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Palmar's Romeo Tartalo got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Carolo Gimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palmar's Diego Bittor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Edorta in the 67th minute of play. Los Frutales's Carolo Gimenez got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carolo Gimenez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Bittor having to make a save. After 78 played minutes Los Frutales got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Lucila. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Ermano during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gavino Petrigai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Otsando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tadeo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleuterio Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carolo Gimenez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Los Frutales booed when Palmar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carolo Gimenez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Bittor having to interfere. The Los Frutales supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Frutales would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
