The audience was convinced that Delmar Ranolfo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roque Belasko was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nueva Pretoria. Alejo Galtero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Nueva Pretoria's Guillermo Ramond got control of the ball when Modesto Intxixu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuevo Envase's Modesto Intxixu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Intxixu during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute Delmar Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Belasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Arano took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Belasko. Roque Belasko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 35th minute, Benito Barto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Belasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Arano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Modesto Intxixu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Antonio Gelmiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nueva Pretoria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nuevo Envase the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Nueva Pretoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Gelmiro to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

58 minutes into the match, Nuevo Envase's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Arano came free, but Roque Belasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nuevo Envase getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Benito Barto hit a great ball. Roque Belasko made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Delmar Ranolfo sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nuevo Envase's goalkeeper Roque Belasko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tadeo Arano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Nueva Pretoria's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Roque Belasko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delmar Ranolfo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. Alejo Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Ramond having to interfere. Delmar Ranolfo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute, Albino Cayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Barto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Nueva Pretoria's Tadeo Arano, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Pretoria. Nunez Raulo's late challenge caught a Nueva Pretoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nunez Raulo helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Nuevo Envase:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nueva Pretoria:s goal. Roque Belasko had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Feliciano Chayo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nueva Pretoria's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
