Victorino Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Florida FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Zeledon Hever placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Cecilio Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Canor having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Cecilio Jaunti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 36th minute Cecilio Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bochum 1848's goalkeeper Guaberto Ponc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Florida FC's Isaias Canor got control of the ball when Victorino Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Isaias Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Jaunti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florida FC's Isaias Canor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Santana in the 65th minute of play. When Cecilio Jaunti came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Bochum 1848 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Jaunti couldn't finish the play. Julio Quintun kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Victorino Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaias Canor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Florida FC's zone, Victorino Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Canor came out of the goal and Victorino Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Nazario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Guaberto Ponc made a huge save. Leon Nazario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 minutes, Horacio Bernard made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bochum 1848's Guaberto Ponc tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
