With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Jaizki in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Santana saved Cafayete FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Colón's Jimeno Lico got control of the ball when Celedonio Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cafayete FC's Ramon Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Mede in the 13th minute of play. When Omar Jakue came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Jakue couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Leo Jaizki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Santana was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Colón's zone, Erasmo Niva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimeno Lico came out of the goal and Erasmo Niva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jimeno Lico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Vargas in the 25th minute. Leo Jaizki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ramon Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Omar Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Lopes during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cafayete FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lucio Lopes hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Cafayete FC's Jimeno Lico threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucio Lopes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edelmiro Bitxintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Jaizki in the 37th minute of play forced Cafayete FC's goalkeeper Ramon Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafayete FC's Ramon Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Mede in the 40th minute of play. Colón's Leo Jaizki suffered a sprained foot after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 40 minutes, Basilio Richie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafayete FC and the Colón players grew even worse after the yellow card. Colón's Patricio Teodor was substituted for Leo Jaizki. Basilio Richie hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Patricio Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Teodor couldn't finish the play. If Omar Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Stephen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Modesto Luken's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Ramon Santana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerardo Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Mede struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ramon Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colón. Colón's Gerardo Mede got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Jakue in the 65th minute of play. Ramon Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Teodor's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Patricio Teodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ramon Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Mede in the 72nd minute of the match. Omar Jakue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ramon Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Richie kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to Colón getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Raul Shepherd hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Evaristo Edur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Cafayete FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Bernebe. Colón's Gerardo Mede got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Modesto Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Cafayete FC's Ramon Santana got control of the ball when Omar Jakue tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Gerardo Mede lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Ramon Santana. The supporters of Colón booed when Cafayete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafayete FC's Ramon Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Luken in the 96th minute of play. Colón played a much better game than Cafayete FC and deserved their victory. The Cafayete FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
