Colón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Florida FC the free kick. Julio Quintun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jimeno Lico. Colón's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match, Leon Nazario got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jimeno Lico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leon Nazario in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimeno Lico, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gerardo Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Colón booed when Florida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Isaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Lico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Bernard in the 34th minute of the match. Gerardo Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Canor having to interfere. Julio Quintun came free in the 41st minute and tried to tip the ball over Jimeno Lico, but to the joy of Colón's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. In the 42nd match minute, Colón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ortzi to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Jaizki made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Florida FC's Nicanor Tulio got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes in the game, Modesto Luken fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Isaias Canor having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Omar Jakue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Canor. Florida FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Jakue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Omar Jakue came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Isaias Canor could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Gerardo Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Gerardo Mede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Florida FC's Isaias Canor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Modesto Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florida FC's Isaias Canor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Florida FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Gerardo Mede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Colón got a corner. Florida FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leo Jaizki ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Leo Jaizki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Florida FC's Isaias Canor did a great save. Colón's Modesto Luken got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaias Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Nazario in the 83rd minute of play forced Colón's goalkeeper Jimeno Lico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaias Canor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Jaizki in the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Florida FC's Pablo Isaio got a free kick in the 86th minute. Isaias Canor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Jakue showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 89 minute of play. Florida FC's Isaias Canor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Florida FC from getting a goal against them. When Gerardo Mede came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Colón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Mede couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Florida FC's Isaias Canor got control of the ball when Omar Jakue tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
