In the 10th minute, Flavio Montel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Almafuerte FC booed when RACING CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Everardo Oso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimeno Aznaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Heriberto in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Almafuerte FC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Aritza. Miguel Heriberto's late challenge caught a Almafuerte FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Heriberto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, RACING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Heriberto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Oso in the 27th minute of play forced RACING CLUB's goalkeeper Leonides Turi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes RACING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Ayala. Almafuerte FC's Everardo Oso got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, RACING CLUB's Epifanio Rocio got a free kick in the 31st minute. When RACING CLUB's Miguel Heriberto in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Heriberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Licerio got free with Jimeno Aznaro in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Almafuerte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Heriberto came free, but Jimeno Aznaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Dodorol during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Flavio Montel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Leonides Turi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Heriberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jimeno Aznaro came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Heriberto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
