Almafuerte FC's Jimeno Aznaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Lixandro in the 6th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Almafuerte FC got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Tonete. 13 minutes into the match, Isaias Lixandro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimeno Aznaro. Almafuerte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Lixandro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Piedraitas getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Conrado Ponc hit a great ball. When Wilfredo Harri fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piedraitas's protests and gave Wilfredo Harri a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Piedraitas got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Harri. Everardo Oso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Montel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Alfonso Reno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th match minute, Piedraitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Harri to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Flavio Montel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almafuerte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Montel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Oso to make the kick off. Wilfredo Harri hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Piedraitas's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Oso came free, but Alfonso Reno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Aritza kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Piedraitas's Leon Caitano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Everardo Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Reno having to interfere. Almafuerte FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Isaias Lixandro scored to the left of an out of position Jimeno Aznaro, making the score, 1-2. After 80 minutes, Conrado Ponc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piedraitas and the Almafuerte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Conrado Ponc hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Everardo Oso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Reno having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Piedraitas's Mateo Quilino got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Flavio Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Reno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Montel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th play minute Fabio Ubarna came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jimeno Aznaro. 1-3. The Piedraitas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Piedraitas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
