In the 7th minute, Angel Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anier Beltran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Filomeno Ezkerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mateoli F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saguión AFC the free kick. After 18 played minutes Mateoli F.C got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Ezkerra. Zacarias Ermano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Beltran having to interfere. Anier Beltran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angel Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Zacarias Ermano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anier Beltran having to make a save. Angel Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Beltran having to interfere. When Zacarias Ermano came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Saguión AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Ermano couldn't finish the play. Angel Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Beltran having to interfere. Zacarias Ermano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Anier Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mateoli F.C's zone, Zacarias Ermano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Beltran came out of the goal and Zacarias Ermano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Jon to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateoli F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Angel Barbosa scored to the left of an out of position Anier Beltran, making the score, 0-2. Zacarias Ermano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Anier Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Beltran made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Zacarias Ermano sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Mateoli F.C's zone, Nicolas Polentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Beltran came out of the goal and Nicolas Polentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 played minutes Mateoli F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Dalmau. Anier Beltran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Ermano in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Angel Barbosa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Angel Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mateo Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mateoli F.C's goalkeeper Anier Beltran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ismael Beltza fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saguión AFC's protests and gave Ismael Beltza a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Saguión AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mateoli F.C:s goal. Saguión AFC played a much better game than Mateoli F.C and deserved their victory. The Mateoli F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
